Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Pawport app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Pawport is a pet health record management app that helps you track vaccines, vet visits, medications, and reminders. The app is available on iOS and Android. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, or have parental or guardian consent. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. Notify us promptly at tangerinlabs@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscription & Payments

Pawport offers a free tier and paid tiers: Premium ($6.99/month) and Family ($9.99/month). Subscriptions are billed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). A 7-day free trial may be available for paid tiers. You may cancel at any time; you will retain access until the end of your current billing period. Refunds for partial months are governed by App Store and Google Play policies; we do not provide refunds for partial periods outside those policies.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited when a subscription is purchased.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Misuse the AI symptom checker (e.g., for non-pet or fraudulent purposes).
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the app's source code.
• Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content to the document vault or elsewhere in the app.

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account.

6. AI Symptom Checker Disclaimer

The AI feature provides general guidance and urgency ratings only. You are solely responsible for decisions regarding your pet's health. When in doubt, seek in-person veterinary care.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of Pawport is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the app, you consent to those practices.

8. Intellectual Property

The Pawport name, logo, and app are owned by Tangerinlabs. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our branding or software without permission. You retain ownership of your pet's health data and any content you upload; you grant us a license to use it only as needed to provide the service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends, and we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pawport and Tangerinlabs are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We are not liable for data loss (though we take backups seriously) or for any veterinary or health decisions you make based on the app or AI output. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
